Web-site Training
Kevin Weishaar did a series of 4 weeks of training on how to create a web-site. I
attended training sessions. He was very informative and helpful with everything from how to create a story-board, to taking pictures and uploading them to your web-page to making our videos more user-friendly on-line. He also set each of us up with a web-site of our own off of the Bison web-site. Kevin also sent us each home with some software to help us along the way. All of this was done to help us get one step closer to bringing our community to the rest of the world. One of our goals was to establish an Internet business (or call center). In this goal, we hope to bring more jobs to the Bison area.

Hi Rownea-
Hello! I was just curious how your community hired Kevin for the training on creating a website? I too think learning about designing a website would be very beneficial. Does Kevin just work in the Bison area or does he travel to different areas? Do you know? We are in Whitewood so not real close to you. Also was the cost factor really high? Please give me your thoughts when you can.
Thanks,
Tammy

Well, hello! Thanks for the question. To start with the whole thing rests with Horizons. One of our goals as a community was to start an internet business. So, they were willing to help us with some web-site training, and Kevin was willing to donate some time to accomplish this task. I don’t know that I could answer for him as far as hiring out, I am sorry. I could give you a link to the web-training site http://bisonsd.com/webdesign/index.html . Kevin was very good at video-taping each class, and uploading it to this site. You can go in and take a look around.
